UGPBAN (Union of banana producer groups of Guadeloupe and Martinique) is a banana producer created in 2003. It produces 220,000 tonnes of bananas, 70% of which are marketed in France and 30% for export.
The UGPBAN custom-made banana plush
The Union of Banana Producers' Groups of Guadeloupe and Martinique contacted us to create their mascot in a promotional plush format. They wanted a custom-made plush toy that represented the bananas they produce.
The goal behind this project is to have a plush toy in their image to distribute at events, including the Agricultural Show.
Customization of the UGPBAN promotional plush toy
To create the custom-made plush banana, we started with a photo of the UGPBAN mascot costume. The plush measures 15 cm tall. The banana's face was embroidered onto the plush, and the UGPBAN logo was sewn on.
The unique feature of this promotional plush toy is that it was made from RPET to reduce its carbon footprint. Plastic (such as bottles) was recycled to create the materials for UGPBAN's custom-made plush toy.
